By using The Cam Feeder you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site.

What this site is

A publication offering opinion and analysis about consumer products. It is not a shop: we sell nothing, take no payments, hold no stock and ship nothing. Every purchase you make happens on a retailer’s site under that retailer’s terms.

What our recommendations are

Editorial opinion, formed by compiling published manufacturer specifications and doing arithmetic on them. We have not tested or handled any of the products described on this site, which is stated on every page and explained in full at how we pick, including a list of the things our method cannot establish.

Treat what is here as one input into your decision, not as a guarantee about how a product will perform in your garden.

Accuracy

We take accuracy seriously and cite our sources so you can check them. We cannot guarantee that everything here is correct or current: manufacturers change specifications, revise listings and discontinue apps, and a page describes what was published when it was written. Every page carries the date it was last updated.

If you find an error, please tell us - corrections are handled per the editorial policy.

Prices

Prices are retrieved from the retailer and stamped with the date checked; data older than 48 hours is not displayed. Even so, the price you pay is whatever the retailer is charging when you arrive, not what appeared here. We are not party to that transaction and cannot honor a price shown on this site.

Affiliate relationships

We earn a commission on purchases made through links on this site, at no extra cost to you. This is disclosed under every buy button and in full on the affiliate disclosure page.

Third-party sites

We link to retailers, manufacturers and reference sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their terms or their handling of your data. Following a link takes you outside these terms.

Intellectual property

The text, analysis and page design on this site belong to Slate Mill Group. You are welcome to quote briefly with attribution and a link. Reproducing pages wholesale, scraping the site to republish it, or presenting our analysis as your own is not permitted.

Product names, brands and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used here descriptively. Product images are supplied by the retailer’s content network. Photography used illustratively is licensed stock.

No warranty

This site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slate Mill Group is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from a purchasing decision informed by it. That includes dissatisfaction with a product, a product not performing as its manufacturer describes, and any dispute with a retailer or manufacturer - all of which are matters between you and them.

Bird welfare

Several pages describe practices affecting live animals - feeder hygiene, nectar preparation, bird bath cleaning and nest box handling. That guidance is offered in good faith from published sources and is general rather than specific to your situation.

Wildlife law differs by jurisdiction, and in the United States interfering with the nests of native migratory birds is unlawful. You are responsible for complying with the law where you live.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of the page reflects the last revision, and continuing to use the site after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
